Keep Vanessa Safe and Secure at Home

Hi, my name is Vanessa and I am asking for help. Since June 2024, I've had two major kidney surgeries due to a blockage, which ended up turning into sepsis. I almost died; I was in the ICU for over 2 weeks. Since then, I am now going on 4 months of having to be on bed rest with no work or income coming in. All my bills are behind, everything is getting shut off, and the notices are piling up. I am in panic mode because I don't know how I'm going to pay my rent next month in October. I'm the one who never asks for help, but right now I'm helpless. I have one more minimal surgery on Oct 7, and I'm praying I get the 'ok' to get back to work.

So, I am asking for help. Anything helps, I just can't lose my apartment and become homeless again.
