Keep Val and Roommate Safe and Housed

Hi, my name is Kiley. I am fundraising for my friend Val and her roommate who are currently in a bad spot trying to make rent while her roommate is looking for another job. The roommate is very actively looking for work and both have already sold off many things they own to make rent last month. We are hoping that during their time of need the community will help them keep their apartment they both worked so hard to get while they get back on their feet. The goal is $2,200 to cover a month of rent. This will be a reoccurring need until her roommate finds a job.

I can attest that Val is a loving, generous, and extremely resilient person who works their ass off to stay independent despite all her disabilities and transphobic family. She would never ask for this, so I took the initiative. I do not want to see her have to end up back in a horribly unsafe and traumatic situation after all they've already overcome.
