Keep Vai Fitness Open
Donation protected
March 16, 2020 changed the lives of many who work in or own non-essential businesses. Vai Fitness was forced to close its doors with its future unknown. Vai has been part of the San Diego community for nearly 15 years.
Owner Silvia Giamanco has worked tirelessly over the years to help her gym and the community thrive. When her doors were opened to the community, Vai Fitness was able to offer personalized workouts, group classes, and social gatherings focusing on the health and well being of all members. Silvia is dedicated to her clients so they can obtain their fitness goals. She has an incredible clientele and the studio has a tremendously friendly, neighborhood atmosphere. Many of her clients have become good friends with not only Silvia but with each other, referred to as the "Vai Family".
Silvia wants to continue to bring her valuable services to the community but significantly reduced revenue, mounting rents, and other expenses are threatening to force the studio to close for good.
The Vai Family, Silvia, and community would be crushed to see her gym doors closed for good.
We know that there are many thousands of small businesses across the country like Vai Fitness that are struggling to survive. So I humbly ask you to come together and donate to keep the Vai Fitness dream alive.
Vai Fitness is a one of the kind studio!
I have set up this GoFundMe hoping that when the stay at home orders are lifted I will be able to walk back into Silvia's gym, Vai Fitness. Her gym is perfect for those seeking out a small workout environment that is judgment free! When I first joined her gym I was unsure how I would feel about group classes as I was always a "workout by myself" person before. I instantly felt at home taking classes at her gym and all the members were so friendly. Everyone was quick to exchange numbers and make me feel like I truly had a place in the community. Her gym is impeccably clean and she offers a wide variety of classes, something hard to find in other gyms. I would be devastated to see her doors closed for good as there is no place like Vai.
