Over thirty years and more than a million miles of ministry travel, the Lord has kept us safe. I work hard to keep that safety in place, and staying on top of the tires is a big part of it. Good rubber on the road is one of the ways I steward what He has protected.
The current set (stock) is worn out. Rated for 45,000 miles, I ran them to 54,000, and the tread is now down to 4/32 of an inch. New tires start around 11, and 2 is the legal limit. At 4 they have lost most of their grip in the rain, which is exactly when I need it most.
A few months ago many of you helped us replace the digital piano, and I have not forgotten it. We cover what we can ourselves. I just put two new tires on the trailer out of pocket, no fundraising for those. A full set for the truck is a bigger lift. We are putting on Cooper tires rated for 60,000 miles, the kind that hold the road in hard rain. A full set, mounted and aligned, runs around $1,400.
If you are able to give, thank you. If you are not, a prayer or a share helps just as much.
Grace to you,
Ben
