We are Citizens Against Uranium Exploration and Mining in Nova Scotia, a grassroots group united by one simple truth: our home, health, and environment isn't for sale and is worth protecting.
If continued, this threatens to greatly harm our forests, pollute our waters, and endanger the health of wildlife and the health of our communities. Uranium exploration or mining isn't just another industry; it leaves behind toxic waste, radioactive dust, and a huge cost to taxpayers with irreversible damage. The glow may fade, but the consequences can linger for 100,000 years.
We are raising funds to stand against this, together. Every dollar will help us:
- Prepare for Legal Action - Be ready for anything. This is the biggest expense.
- Spread Awareness - Across Nova Scotia with signs, posters, banners, pins, and public outreach
- Host Educational Events - To inform and empower our communities.
This isn't just about one town, this is about defending the right to clean air, safe water, and a future free from radioactive risk. Nova Scotians have said no to uranium mining before, and we will again.
