What am I doing to raise awareness and funds?

I will complete an 8 HOUR SOCCER JUGGLING MARATHON. Hence, "KEEP UPS for Kamwe"!

Why am I doing Keep Ups for Kamwe?

First, I'm passionate about raising awareness and funds for Love a Village’s latest sustainable farming development project. LAV had tremendous success in their first eight-year project in Luhomero, Malawi, so the Malawian government has asked them to replicate the project in Kamwe!

Second, as a part of the greater goal of supporting and learning the work of Love a Village, my dad and I will be joining LAV in Kamwe, Malawi, June 15-25, 2025. The purpose is to be immersed in the life of local Malawians, to create community connections between the locals and LAV and to support LAV's new project in Kamwe as they seek out willing locals to participate in their sustainable farming education, training and initiatives.

Founded by Julie Seath in 2015, LAV is a grassroots organization dedicated to changing the face of extreme poverty. As a registered Canadian charity, we empower Malawian villagers to live independently by equipping them with sustainable farming practices. We engage local leaders, partner with Malawian organizations and government, and teach the importance of working as a community. We recently and successfully completed a similar sustainability project in Luhomero, Malawi.

Transparency Statement

After a nominal GoFundMe processing fee, all donations will be processed through PayPal Giving Fund Canada, which will issue official donation receipts to donors.

Subsequently, the funds will be granted to Trinity Grace Church, a registered Canadian charity, that celebrates a 9 year partnership with Love a Village.

Trinity Grace Church will manage and disburse these funds in alignment with its own charitable purposes, which specifically include supporting the ongoing work of Love a Village in Kamwe, Malawi, including expenses related to the June service trip.

TGC retains full discretion over the use and allocation of all donated funds to ensure compliance with Canadian charitable giving regulations.
