Hi everyone! My name is Karla. I was a teacher for 4 years and in January of 2020I decided to start my own tutoring business in Lawndale. I noticed how expensive tutoring was and how few tutoring centers there were in Lawndale and Hawthorne compared to the beach cities. My goal with this center is to give students in our community the same support that students in higher income cities get. Little did I know that 3 months after starting this business a national pandemic would hit. Just like many businesses, we have been struggling ever since the pandemic and lock down started. We are looking to raise funds which would go to keeping up with rent, and buying supplies for the center for the new school year.
