Hi everyone,
My mother and father worked hard to buy a house. Dad worked in manufacturing until the jobs moved to China, and pivoted to IT. He's now 70 and retired. Mom is still working, managing a medical office and busting her butt to provide for the family.
All she wanted when I was growing up was to own a house, and she made that dream happen a while ago. She found a house within budget. She did everything right. But the valuation of her property has gone up, and with it, her monthly payments; she is now in danger of losing the house entirely.
This house is perfect for my mother, with her bad knee, and my father, with his bad back. It has one floor, so no one has to climb the stairs; it's in a nice, quiet place. Mom wants this home to be hers for the rest of her life, and I want her to have at least this one, simple thing. I have contributed where I can, but I'm presently in an awkward limbo situation with my own job, so unfortunately, as much as I would love to be able to help my mom keep her house, I can only do so much.
I don't have the exact numbers on me. But when my mom was breaking down the numbers verbally, she explained that as the result of numerous unfortunate situations, including a totaled car, have left her about this amount behind on the mortgage. This would leave her on solid ground, and able to get her bearings. Any extra amount will solely go to mortgage payments in the future.
Mom is a proud, strong woman, so I will be the one to beg instead. Please, please, I beg you. Please help my mother keep her house. Please help my father retire in peace. Please help my family.
