Help Our Boys Get to Nationals – They Deserve This

This is a call for help on behalf of a group of boys who have given everything to this game, their time, their heart, their commitment, and now they’re facing the possibility of missing out on USA Volleyball Nationals through no fault of their own.

Our U16 boys team from Evergreen Volleyball Club recently earned a spot at Nationals, and they should be celebrating. But instead, they’ve been left in a difficult situation. Due to last-minute changes in coaching and a lack of planning from prior leadership, these boys were almost left without a chance to go to the tournament they worked so hard to qualify for. This is the year they will remember for the rest of their lives, and once it passes, you can never get it back. These high schoolers deserve the memories of playing in Nationals and not the memories of being let down by those who were leading them.

I’ve stepped in as their coach and am doing everything I can to make sure these boys don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. But we need help and fast. Our biggest obstacle right now is lodging. We’re trying to raise $6,000 to cover the team’s hotel costs. This cost is urgent and unavoidable if we want to keep this dream alive.

These boys didn’t give up. When others walked away, they stood tall, showed up to practice, and held onto hope. They deserve better — they deserve to compete on the national stage, to represent their club, their families, and themselves with pride.
