On August 22, 2025, at 12 noon at New Mt. Pilgrim MB Church, 4301 W Washington Blvd, Chicago, IL 60624, THE VOICE will hold a grand memorial service to mourn the tragic death and celebrate the courageous life of one of Chicago's great, unsung journalism heroes. For 40 years, BRAD CUMMINGS was the editor of THE VOICE Newspapers, always in the community with his trusty camera, always showcasing talented Westsiders, giving POSITIVE local news and entertainment that we deserve.

Brad gave his life to the West Side. 2025 is the 40th anniversary of THE VOICE Newspapers. Our GoFundMe will pay off debts and keep THE VOICE Newspapers going strong, hopefully for the next 40 years.
