About a year ago, my mom, Elsa, took a huge leap of faith and bought a used taco truck. It has been her dream to run her own business and share her food with the community.

It hasn’t been an easy road. The truck needed repairs right from the start. She spent months grinding—fixing the mechanical issues, navigating the paperwork, and getting everything up to code to ensure she was doing this the right way.

Once she was finally approved, the next challenge was location. She tried spot after spot, trying to find the right customers. Finally, she found it! She secured a location that was profitable, and her business was finally gaining momentum. She was so happy to see her hard work paying off.

Just as things were taking off, disaster struck. The motor in the truck completely blew.

After all the investment, the repairs, and the struggle to find her spot, this is a devastating blow. The cost to replace the motor is more than the business can handle right now, especially since she's had to stop selling while the truck is down.

We are looking to raise $8,000 to replace the motor and get Elsa back to her spot. Every dollar goes directly to the repairs so she doesn't lose the momentum she worked so hard to build.

Thank you so much for supporting a local, woman-owned small business!
