Keep the Projector Rolling at the Toronto Film Society

For 75 years, the Toronto Film Society has been celebrating cinema by screening expertly curated vintage films to cinephiles of all ages. We believe that comedies are funnier in a crowded theatre, musicals are more impressive on the big screen, and whodunits are more intense when you’re not at home on your couch.

Our twice monthly screenings span the decades. They are often rare archival or socially significant gems that can’t be found on streaming services, DVDs, or cable channels dedicated to the movies.

Even our monthly virtual programming, while not the same silver screen experience, is an online viewing and discussion community featuring some of the finest and ground-breaking movies of all time.

As a volunteer-run organization, we need your support to keep screening these impressive classic films. Annual memberships and single ticket sales don’t go far enough to cover our operating costs.

Without the funds, our theatre will go dark. Even our virtual theatre will go dark.
