Update:
So we reopened as a pub and food venue when we were able to on the 4th July. We have been enjoying our new stream of customers especially with the government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme attracting people to try our BBQ so we are just about surviving but ...
With social distancing measures in place we are still unable to do the full on gigs we were use to and unable to pay the musicians , crew, promoters etc the fees they actually deserve so we are keeping this fundraiser going to #letthemusicplay & keep the arts going! We will continue to bring live music back as much as we can,
Thank you for all the love and support so far !
Since Monday when the Government told people to avoid pubs and clubs our venue went from a thriving community hub with gigs and events being organised for the whole year to empty. Now we have been told to close whilst we get through the pandemic. We don't know how long this will be but we really want to make it through to the other side.
Camilo, Clement & Michela built The Post from just a few savings to what it has now become in a year. We have staff, an event space with a varied line up and some very loyal customers.
The Post now feels like our home where we welcome anyone in from around the world to use our space. We have had some amazing nights over the past year and we had so many plans for the future.
The charcoal grill has just been built ready for our famous BBQ, the garden is under way to be a secret oasis on the busy High Road and we are supposed to be having three extra taps for draft beer installed this week.
We have calculated it costs us in the region of £6500 per month for rent, bills & staff wages. We know everyone is struggling but thought we would give this a go so we can all have something to look forward to when this is all over.
We will be hosting the biggest and best relaunch party and if you manage to donate a few pennies you will be at the top of the guest list with some free drinks and food.
Thank you so much for your love and support at this difficult time.
