This sweet little girl Chadia was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, a cancer that starts in the Retina, at 6 weeks old. It is the most common type of eye cancer in children. That was 4 weeks ago and on November 5th 2017 Chadia will begin her second round of Chemo as it was discovered once the family travelled to Toronto to see the only specialist in Canada that it was in both eyes not just one. Little Chadia must endure 4 rounds of Chemo lasting a week each time and then a 3 week break to let her little body heal. After the first round she was doing very well and then eneded up back at the hospital for a 2 day blood transfusion. Because she is so young alot of the normal treatments for this are trial and error for the doctors. Each step is done with care and alot of attention on how she will react. Her mom and dad have been with her through all of it so far but because Mohamed used all of his vacation time when Chadia was born to be with her he has been without wages since leaving for Toronto. He is facing having to leave his wife and child in Toronto to come back to Alberta to work to ensure they have a home to come back to. He is heart broken to have to leave his baby girl during this critical treatment and of course to leave his wife to deal with it alone. They will not know until after the 2nd, possibly 3rd treatment if the tumors are responding and shrinking. Please help to keep them all together to fight this battle as a family.
