Dear Friends of the Symphony,
Our Founding Maestro, James Brooks-Bruzzese has spent 32 years building the Symphony of the Americas to its current esteemed position as a designated Major Cultural Institution in Broward County, our performance home. A great part of his legacy involves the extensive educational and outreach activities Maestro has created through the orchestra. In fact, he was honored at the National Hispanic Heritage Awards for his work with students throughout Florida and the world, and recently honored by Musicfor, a Swiss Foundation, with the special prize, “ A Life for Music” for his artistic educational activity throughout the world.
Maestro will pass the baton at the conclusion of our 2019/2020 Season, and take the position of “Founding Artistic Director Emeritus”. Please help us honor his accomplishments and pay tribute to him in his educational endeavors during this upcoming season as we seek a new Music Director to carry forth Maestro’s vision.
