Support Leo after having COVID, Cancer, & a N.D.E.

What follows is truly a miraculous story of healing, with a long road ahead. Hi, my name is Barrett, the one on the right in the photo, and I'm fundraising for Leo who has an incredibly powerful, mind-blowing story, with much further to go. When we first came to know each other, we never knew the immensity of all that we would go through together. We both just turned 30 -- hi, Saturn Return, how are ya? Haha

("Too Long; Didn't Read" at the bottom.)

Leo and I met serendipitously online during the beginning of the lockdowns, he in Brazil, me in Honolulu. We video chatted with Google Translate every day for hours until I was able to go to Brazil to spend time with him. Here, our vision became to help those struggling through the pandemic (like himself) and we raised tons of money to pass out, giving months of income to people, providing for rent, and organizing the creation and distribution of over 300 meals for those on the streets in São Paulo!

I had to leave Brazil and return to the US, and during this time, he would start bleeding from the nose and throwing up blood every day... a lot. We're both extremely intuitive individuals and Leo told me early this year, "there's a man you're close to that has cancer and he will suffer a lot." He didn't know an intuitive friend of mine just weeks prior told me, "there is a man in your life who has either cancer or COVID and is going to pass soon."

Weeks later, Leo would be diagnosed with both stomach and liver cancer, between Stage 3 and 4. I had a painful feeling he would die soon and I quickly returned to Brazil to take care of him. COVID and the lockdowns in Brazil have destroyed many people's livelihoods, and Leo had lost his job, his home, and spent all of his savings. (He's an actor and has a show on Netflix called "Brotherhood!") It would be nice if he could stay with family instead of passing around with his friends, but his father passed a couple years prior and his mother (a cold, distant, and hurt soul, God bless her) continues to leave his messages on read, even when he told her about his cancer.

In the last few weeks before I had to leave Brazil again, he would drop to his knees multiple times writhing in pain, sometimes having to go to the hospital. His chemotherapy was also really taking a toll on him and his immune system. Days before I would leave he would tell me of these intuitive dreams he was having. One, where he was waking up in a hospital as people were calling his name, except they weren't calling him Leo, but Raphael. In Hebrew, this means "to heal" which of course he had no idea. The second, was that he was in complete peace, all pain, all trauma, everything except for complete peace and relief was gone. Instantly, I knew that he was feeling death.

Days after I return to the US, he messages me that he is having a hard time breathing and can't really smell or taste anything. With essentially no immune system, it is only a day or two later that he is hospitalized for COVID-19. He starts to really feel that he will die soon, and writes me a letter. In it he says, "I don't know how or why, but intuitively I feel that I will need to go to Heaven to talk to my dad and then return to Earth so that I can shine." He tells me that his friend Edu will have everything in case something happens, including a file on his computer called "Aloha" which is a live theater play he wrote about our love story. Doctors discover that his stomach cancer has AGGRESSIVELY grown in the last few weeks and they're required to put him on a feeding tube, and despite all the complications from COVID will require an emergency surgery. We have a goodbye call, not knowing what would happen. Hours later in the day he sends me a text, and I'm glad he made it through. Unfortunately, it's actually Edu, and he tells me that Leo never made it into surgery. He went into cardiac arrest and is now in the ICU with oxygen and the feeding tube.

Leo recovers enough to be removed from the ICU for half a day. The next morning, Saturday, I would get more messages from Edu that he suffered ANOTHER cardiac arrest, is back in the ICU, and he was put on a ventilator. Between the aggressive cancer, COVID, with little to no immune system left because of the chemo, and now on a ventilator they're grave with the news, that he has perhaps hours left to live.

At this point, I'm a complete mess. I decide that I need to meditate and send him some healing energy. So, I sit down to meditate. IMMEDIATELY, I am flung into an extremely vivid vision where I find myself in a room that is black as outer space and simultaneously filled with an immensity of Light with a long table and a bunch of people on one side and myself on the other, yet observing as if I am just behind my own self. This group of beings announces themselves as "The Council of Heaven." Now, I am used to mystical phenomenon, but this is far beyond anything I have experienced prior to this moment.

"We need to save his life, what can we do?" The Council says, "there is really nothing, his body is extremely fragile and his soul is tired and would like to pass on." I then begin to broker a deal for a "walk-in" where a higher aspect of his same soul would take over the rest of the lifetime. They say, "of course, however, the difference between the higher vibration of this soul and the body is so great that it probably wouldn't take, like a rejected transplant." I then ask for an addendum to this contract where instead of frying the body, this higher voltage energy would actually HEAL the body as it integrated into it. They looked surprised, saying they'd never heard of this before but that of course it would be possible! As soon as this is agreed upon, I see the soul of my partner Leo cross over and I begin to WEEP. Then a giant soul steps forward, coincidentally named "Raphael" and lays his head in my lap. The Council asks me to assist the congruency between the body and soul and I'm led through an intuitive process before coming out of my meditation.

Upon coming out of my meditation I feel that I must immediately open Facebook, so I do, and the first thing that is there is a "People You May Know: Would you like to add Raphael?" You can imagine the look on my face. Stunned and bewildered, I went to bed, where in my dreams the entire night I was by Leo's side in the ICU in Brazil, doing whatever I could to prepare his body for this higher aspect of his soul, apparently named Raphael.

I wake up in the morning to a string of texts from Edu... "Leo has had a miraculous turn around. He doesn't have a fever, he has no symptoms, all his organs have stabilized and show no further damage from COVID, they've taken him off the feeding tube and the ventilator, and if he continues on this track they'll release him from the ICU later today."

WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK?! From "he has a few hours to live" to "basically nothing is wrong with him" in a matter of HOURS with essentially ZERO immune system, an aggressive cancer, COVID, and was on various forms of life support including a ventilator!

Later that afternoon he would be released from the ICU.

The next morning, Leo is still very tired and Edu is messaging me how he just keeps saying, "Raphael" over and over again. Again, you can imagine the look on my face. I tell him nothing about my experience of what just happened as I spend the day in awe but also some doubt.

The following day, Edu would message me again, telling me, "I have something really weird that Leo wants me to tell you, but I'm just going to tell you. Leo wants you to know that he knows that you know that he had a near death experience. He also wants you to know that he saw you negotiating for his soul and that he watched his body be intubated and knew to wait for you to negotiate which side his soul would go."

NO REALLY, LIKE SERIOUSLY!??! At this point, all doubt is absolutely erased from my consciousness as to what just happened. Leo would then later tell me that he went through life review, seeing everything at once, where he was later greeted by his dad and had the conversation with him he wrote to me about him intuitively feeling would happen just the other week. I then realize that the time which I watched his soul pass over was Father's Day.

Just a couple days later the nurses would release him from the hospital where he would stay with a friend where he currently remains.

In just a week on July 8th, Leo will go back to the hospital to have part of his liver and most likely all of his stomach removed, followed by a 3 or 5 day hospital stay and then released without a home, no job, and no family, just one faithful friend, Edu, whom Leo took in off the streets many years ago and nursed him back to health who is now committed to seeing his friend Leo through this journey, but he himself couch surfing.

I just booked Leo 3 months in an Airbnb right next to the hospital where he will continue chemotherapy sessions, and without a stomach and only partial liver function, he will need not just Edu's help, but professional help that the public health system is not going to be able to provide. Especially since they're still battling COVID overwhelm in their hospitals.

I know that Leo's story has been absolutely miraculous so far, and I'm reaching out to the community to spread the inspiration of what has happened along with an open invitation to receive so that we can continue the miracle of Leo's life. I know he is here to do incredible things in helping others, and right now, he needs a lot of help. THANKFULLY, because he is in Brazil and the exchange rate is VERY favorable, it wildly brings down the cost of what will be needed in order to do so in the United States. I likely will not be able to return to Brazil until my 12-month period has renewed, and he will need this support.

I've estimated that around $12,000-18,000 will be able to continue to supply him with housing for nine more months beyond the three months I already secured, a medical professional to take care of his at-home needs such as bathing until his abdominal wall is healed enough to move around on his own, a maid who will be able to clean and prepare his very particular nourishment especially during the first few months adjusting to life without a stomach, and expenses such as Uber, cellphone, and miscellaneous small needs.

I'm hoping that if there is a surplus either due to many donations or less expenses, we will be able to continue our humanitarian work together and create a charity that is able to magnify our vision of helping the hungry and homeless. He has no idea I'm doing any of this for him, and I would love for him to be able to come out of surgery to news that he can fully relax into his healing now that everything is taken care of for a while.

I'm so confident in the continued miraculous story that Leo and I have been writing together. So much pain, so much love, so much passion, so much healing, and I know that I am forever changed by our story, and I want to continue to provide this for him and let it be an inspiration to the world for that which is also beyond it all. GOD BLESS!

Here is a video of when we made 300 lunch bags of all sorts of things Brazilians love most and handed them out to people on the streets in São Paulo. This is the type of work we want to continue doing with any left over funds!
