Hi my name is Karen and for the last twenty years I have run the Palace Cinema in Cinderford, Forest of Dean with my husband Andy. An independent cinema dating from 1910 with a fascinating and colourful history.

We have survived many trials and tribulations over the years trying to keep one of the oldest cinemas in the country running.

Covid took its toll, we put every penny we had, including Andy's pension into keeping it alive, but we now have a new challenge. Our projectors and associated tech. were installed in 2012 a recent maintenance check revealed they have a very short life left, to continue running we need two new projectors costing 35k each. We know times are difficult for many but if you would like to join us keeping this beloved community asset going by donating the cost of a couple of coffees and sharing this page that would be fantastic, and truly appreciated.
