Thank you for your time to read about our story. Our family name is Jimenez and we come from The City of Champions- Inglewood California. We purchased a business named "Bay Market" on February 16, 2022. We are located on 22 Washington Blvd, Marina Del Rey, CA. 90292. It's right by the Venice Pier. For quite some time now we have been building this market from what was called "The Black Hole" to become a staple in the community. When we purchased Bay Market we needed to invest so much money in maintenance because it was run down pretty bad. We have made much progress however due to additional repairs and permits we have hit a wall. We also experienced a burdensome 2023 with the heavy rains that came hard and not too many people visiting the beach. Our business thrives on summer days. This last year we decided to upgrade our market to become a deli and a cafe. It's been a long journey and alot of money has gone towards permits, plumbing, electrical and of course still maintaining overhead. I know with the help of the people we can pull through. Our goal is to cater to our beloved community and also to our international travelers. Bay Market has the potential to thrive and become the best "One Stop Shop" in Venice Beach/ Marina Del Rey. We are at the mercy of our donors to help us pull through and finish building out our buiness.
