Concerned citizens and residents of Mechanicsville are attempting to prevent the green space pictured above from being turned into a site for six (6) embassies, at the request of the National Capital Commission. 
With the ever growing density in this community, ( large apartment buildings) the green space is at a premium and could soon be lost to the people who live in this area.

The funds raised will be used to address the issue of land planning and to pay for legal expertise. This fund will help the volunteer  residents promote the continued use of this property as open green space as a part of the Official Plan of the the City of Ottawa.
