The Flying Pierogi needs your help!

My name is Jaysen Wilson, the owner of The Flying Pierogi. I have been so lucky and blessed to have been able to open a restaurant in the lovely Carrboro. We are truly a family owned business where all the investment comes from our patrons consuming our food. Over the last two years, we’ve had our ups and downs and new business growing pains, but it’s been worth it. I’ve really enjoyed being able to feed so many people and impact their lives through our food. I have created this GoFundMe as a call to action in hopes that the community, if possible, can donate, patronize, or spread the word of The Flying Pierogi Deli @ 101 Two Hills Drive in Carrboro.

Over the last 6 months, we’ve had a dramatic shift in business. We have also been really affected by dramatic increases in expenses due to energy costs, import tariffs, and extreme rent increases that have basically decimated our financial runway. Also, unlike Franklin Street or Main Street, we rely heavily on folks looking specifically to come dine with us. South Green Flats construction and limited parking, unplanned closures due to sickness or extreme weather also played a part. If all of that wasn’t enough, on April 23, we had a catastrophic event where our liquor shelves detached from the wall, which is devastating.

Proceeds of the campaign will help us dig ourselves out of the hole, allow our loyal staff to pay their bills, and help us ensure The Pierogi will be around for many years to come.
