Everyone grew up watching a show called "Cheers." As soon as you come of age and find your local watering hole, you can not wait to walk in and be treated by a warming face who knows your name and poison of choice.
Black Market has prided itself on being everyone's favorite local "Cheers." Whether at 280 or 5 points, we hope to be everyone's favorite spot to hang out every day. Regardless to which bar is your spot, we are all in need due to the state of the nation. With all new regulations and rules, we have had to halt almost every bit of our business and their livelihood.
We are here asking our favorite regulars and faces for your help. Our servers, bartenders, bar backs, door guys, and kitchen workers are all out of a job. They work every day making sure you guys are taken care of and are relieved from your day's stress. Now they are experiencing more stress than they ever have and need your help.
We are a local business that thrives on the support of our community to keep our dreams alive. Given the new bill that is to be passed today, we may be ordered to shut down our doors completely until this all passes. Our employees are hourly paid employed and paid mostly by tips from our customers. They are not offered sick pay, vacation pay, paid time off, etc. They work every day to put food on their tables, electricity in their homes, and gas in their cars. We have a goal of $10,000 which would allow us to give all of our employees merely $200 to help them out with whatever they are short because of lack of work.
We have always received a crazy amount of support from all of our regulars and supporting community when we have felt loss in our bar family. We turn to you all once again and ask for your loving support. Any little bit helps. We can not wait to be past this part of our country's history and back to serving you all and making you all smile again.
