My pursuit of academic excellence began when I graduated with high honors from Comer Prep on May 31st, 2024. A month ago, I completed my first year of college, which has given me the opportunity to learn what I want to do with my life. This is why I am majoring in accounting. I am excited to continue this journey in my life, and I am asking for your support.

During my first year, while I was figuring out what career I wanted to pursue, it required me to not only change my major but also drop some classes. I am now taking summer classes to get my GPA and hours up, but I owe the school money that I don’t have. During the spring semester my mom took out a loan but the school didn’t send the information we needed on time. She tried to fill out for another but was denied which led me having to take money out of savings that I planned on using for the summer to pay for the rest. If I’m unable to pay by the end of summer, I risk losing not only my scholarship but housing for the fall semester, and it’s the only reason why I’m able to attend my dream school. My mom has been behind me the entire way, and to help me move forward while taking the financial burden off of her, I am asking and appreciative of any additional support.
