Bringing Ice Back to Sussex County: The Miracle Ice Arena will be a non profit.
Sussex County, DE – [6/5/2025] – Ice hockey and figure skating are coming back—but we need your help now. The Miracle Ice Arena has launched a fundraising campaign to bring ice sports back to Southern Delaware. With the closing of The Centre Ice facility in Harrington, local families, athletes, and community leaders are rallying together to ensure that the next generation can skate, play, and compete close to home.
With your support, we can restore access to ice hockey and figure skating—sports that build discipline, confidence, and lifelong friendships. The time to act is now.
Why It Matters
Sussex County has been building a passion for ice sports for over two decades, now skaters ranging from six to the Salisbury University hockey team to the Delmarva Warriors (disabled veterans) will have to travel hours for ice or give up the sport they love. This campaign aims to change that by rebuilding and revitalizing a local ice facility that can serve thousands of families across the region.
A Vision for Community Connection a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, shares a clear vision: to cultivate a community where team sports and recreational activities bring people together.
The Miracle Ice is committed to a state-of-the-art venue that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and wellness. From learn to play, in-house, travel, adult, school hockey leagues, figure skating programs to community events, birthday parties and public skate, the facility will offer something for everyone.
How You Can Help
We are seeking immediate support from individuals, businesses, and civic organizations to make this dream a reality. As a charitable, tax-deductible cause, your donation directly funds the restoration of ice operations.
Donate today and be part of the miracle.
