Hi my name is Clint walker, Im from Launceston Tasmania I was on holidays in Melbourne with my three children , 8/14/18, whilst on holiday my eldest daughter Codie who is 18 had a placental Abruption at 33 weeks Which led to an emergency C-section on 28 September 2024 her little baby boy Leo Arthur was born around an hour after that placental abruption, he was in a bad way he had kidney and liver damage he had a heartbeat of 40 beats a minute until it stopped breathing shortly after birth, so for the next eight minutes he had compressions until his little heart started beating once again, in that process he lost oxygen to his little brain also had a brain bleed at the back of his head and doctors told us the worst that he had suffered a brain injuries, but he’s a fighter and is showing us every day with our support love and courage he wants us to fight for him as well, so we won’t stop fighting until he lets us know he can’t fight no more. My daughter Codie in this process also had a cardiac arrest and lost 2.1 lt of blood, she had a blood transfusion to replace all the red blood cells and is improving everyday., she also has CPTSD and we know this is a lot to take on for 18 year old girl to be away from her partner and so far away from the rest of her family and friends she is doing well and is so strong and brave but I’m asking everyone for their love support and prayers and any donations that can help give this little family the hope and love that little Leo and his family needs in this difficult time, As a family we understand the challenges and decisions over the next few weeks we are going to face, there is no time limits on how long they will be in this situation but we will fight as long as little Leo wants us to fight for him, he will show us and so far he is fighting and has proved to us that if anyone can do it this is the little boy that can.little Leo
