Keep the curtain raised and boots on the stage!
Help us make history! boots on the ground theater is an independent community theater troupe dedicated to bringing history to life for our Long Island audiences. The Vail-Leavitt is a historic Music Hall supporting cultural acts, music, art, and education that reflect the community's diversity and theater history. Together we are raising funds to keep the curtain raised and boots on the stage! And to bring to life "The Agitators" the true story of the lifelong friendship between 19th-century legends Frederick Douglass and Susan B Anthony. A story that's as relevant today as it was in 1881, the year the Vail-Leavitt Music Hall opened.
The Vail-Leavitt Music Hall is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable corporation and an all-volunteer organization. It is listed on national and state historic registries and is the oldest theatrical venue in downstate New York. Help us make history and bring to life the Long Island premiere of “The Agitators” onstage this April at the historic Vail-Leavitt Music Hall!
