Keep the Amrita Tradition Alive

Donation protected
Although people have urged me to do a fundraiser since early last year, I was reluctant as I felt very uncomfortable asking for money especially when so many were going through their own hardships. It's been almost a year since this pandemic and the start of government restrictions.  With no rent relief from the landlord whatsoever, sales the worst ever and piled up debt, Cafe Amrita is in the most precarious position.  In order to not close permanently and stay afloat, I now have to ask for your help!

Cafe Amrita would like to be around to celebrate its 18th birthday this May. It has been here before most businesses on Frederick Douglas Avenue and is a staple in the community. Many real estate agents have brought prospective buyers/renters to Amrita to showcase one of the gems in the neighborhood.  It undoubtedly has enhanced the value of the neighborhood as well as property values.

The funds will be allocated for cafe expenses, including for the staff whose hours have been reduced and especially for those who do not receive unemployment insurance.

Any contribution to help "Keep the Amrita Tradition Alive ❤️" is deeply appreciated! Thank you!
