If you’ve ever met Taj, you already know — he’s not just a dog for us. He is quite possibly the gentlest being to ever exist. If there was ever a dog who deserved a little extra help from the universe, it’s Taj.

Taj has recently been diagnosed with cancer. The next step recommended by his vets is a leg amputation, which could significantly extend his life and — most importantly — keep him comfortable and pain free.

Taj has spent his life giving. For four beautiful years, he volunteered as a therapy dog with Story Dogs, helping children learn to read in a safe, calm, judgement-free space. Never rushing them, never interrupting, just listening. He’s touched more lives than he’ll ever know.

At home, he’s the same angel he is everywhere else: gentle, soft, endlessly polite, and deeply loved by everyone who crosses his path.
