Keep Tabor Dancing!

It’s Spring 2025. The world feels a little wild.

So what do we do?

We dance.

In celebration. In solidarity. In joy.

Together. In the parks. All summer long.

We are the Mount Tabor Dance Community. A vibrant, inclusive crew of movers and shakers.

And this year, more than ever, we need your help to keep the music going.

Why we’re fundraising

TaborDance grew during the pandemic as a beautiful, renegade gift to the city - music under the trees, hundreds of dancers showing up to move and connect.

But as it grew, some nights reaching 500 to 1,000 people, it also brought challenges...

No bathrooms. No permits. Trash everywhere.

It wasn’t sustainable. And it wasn’t what we wanted.

So in 2024, we stepped up:

✔️ Formed a nonprofit

✔️ Paid for park permits

✔️ Rented porta-potties

✔️ Bought liability insurance

✔️ Invested in better sound gear

That season cost us $13,000, which we scraped together through donation buckets, merch, grants, and the generosity of DJs and festival partners (thank you Konnection, Canyon Vibration, and Cascade Equinox ).

Often, the money came in just in time to fund the next dance.

This year, we’re doing it differently

We’re raising $16,000 by June 1st so we can fund the full 2025 season in advance.

No scrambling. No guessing. Just planning beautiful, welcoming, unforgettable dances for our community.

What does a actually dance cost??

Park permit: $375

ADA porta-potties: $475

️ Liability insurance: $115

Total per dance: $965

Add over $2,000 in annual costs - first-aid kits, safety supplies, tents, sound cables - and you see why this matters.

The labor and love from our DJs, volunteers, and organizers is given freely.

But the infrastructure to keep it going? That takes dollars.
