My name is James Lim, and I'm the founder and chef behind Sushi Nonaka — a project born out of passion, creativity, and a deep love for authentic Japanese cuisine.

Sushi Nonaka was built on a dream: to create a space where tradition meets innovation, offering an intimate and unforgettable dining experience. I poured my heart into designing every detail, from curating the menu to shaping the atmosphere. However, like many independent ventures, we faced challenges early on.

Due to difficulties securing traditional financing, I had to bring on investors to make Sushi Nonaka a reality. Along the way, unexpected hurdles, aggressive financial projections, and loan rejections made the road much harder than anticipated. Now, as we look ahead, I’m reaching out to our community, friends, family, and supporters who believe in what Sushi Nonaka stands for.

We’re raising funds to help stabilize the business, support operational costs, enhance the dining experience, and allow Sushi Nonaka to thrive independently. Every contribution will go directly toward making Sushi Nonaka the special place it was always meant to be for you, for our team, and for our neighborhood.
