Keep Stevie cool during treatment

Hello, I’m Stevie’s friend Kelly and I want to help keep Stevie as comfortable as she can be while she goes through her cancer treatment in the sweltering QLD summer by helping fund a split system for her bedroom.

In late 2023 Stevie, a 34 year old mum of 3, was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer and underwent a major surgery to remove multiple growths before beginning chemo in late November.

Anyone who’s experienced this before (or knows someone that has) knows that the chemo does many weird things to your body, including making your skin sensitive to cold touch. It also makes you tired and very sick. Stevie’s house in the beautiful Sunshine Coast gets VERY warm during the summer months and I can think of nothing worse than laying in bed, feeling so nauseous and hot but not able to use even an ice pack to cool you down because it burns your sensitive skin..

As such, I’d like to reach out to Stevie’s friends and family to see if anyone has a little $$ to spare to help their family install an AC unit in her room so she can comfortably keep cool while she goes through the rest of her treatment. I know things are tough for everyone at the moment but every little bit will help and I know Stevie will be so so grateful for this ❤️
