Having welcomed my first child in January 2023, I discovered a need for local mommy & me programming for Black families in South Los Angeles. To bridge this gap, I founded SLAMM.

My dream is for SouthLA Mommy & Me to become a haven where caregivers and their kids can laugh and learn together and connect with others on the sacred journey of parenthood.

We’ve had an incredible two years of programming and we can't wait for more in 2026!

As we continue to offer free musical story times for babies and their families we’re growing ever aware of our need for continued funding to sustain this programing. Accessibility for our community remains paramount. We are committed to keeping musical story time free, and we need your help to achieve this.
