Our daughter Shelby, 23, was diagnosed with ALS in January of 2024 and quickly became confined to a power wheelchair. With all of her medical bills and medical needs, we were not able to afford to buy her a new handicap van. We were blessed enough to find an older 2004 model that worked for us and was within our budget. Unfortunately, her transmission completely went out on us on our way home from her last doctor's appointment. We travel 1,200 miles each month to get her medical treatments, and the van is her only mode of transportation. We would not normally reach out and ask for help like this, but we are desperate to get her a new transmission so that we can have it repaired before we leave for her next appointment on April 18th. We are extremely grateful for any and all donations.
