Help Shawn McCoy Beat Cancer!

Greeting Friends, Family, Neighbors and Strangers, Wayne here.
Yes, Shawn and I are still roommates. It's been 10 years. We've become chosen family, like brothers.
Shawn has a hard few years behind him and many more to come. He had to live and work for years serving/ bartending while needing a full hip replacement.
Until Jan Stephenson's Crossroads Foundation was able to come to his aid by holding a tournament on his behalf at her local golf course and a large portion of the cost was raised. The operation was a success!
Then, after a fall he now needs another of the same operation on the other side.
During this time, we were forced to move from our rental so it could be sold during this massive housing crisis in Florida. We've had to resort to staying with family since we were unable to afford a new rental on our own.
Though, this roof is temporary since the landlord here wants us to leave the property in just a short couple of months.
He was working delivery to keep some cash coming in to pay the bills until his car started to have issues making it unreliable.
All while trying for months to get a doctor to look at an issue in his mouth, and finally one looked. The hip surgery can't happen now and maybe not ever as he has a new diagnosis..
The doctors have put it on hold indefinitely.
Shawn has stage 4 TERMINAL cancer!
Squamous cell oral cancer to be exact. It's too spread out for surgery. HCA hospital says aggressive radiation and chemo are his best chance.
He's reached out to Moffit Cancer Center and they've responded to his request to be seen for a second opinion. He will be visiting their facility this coming week.
There have been more bumps in the road.
The need to have teeth pulled before treatment due to the risk of infection after treatment begins. One out and two to go.
The bills keep piling up!
The need for a cash flow has never been so important. For such things as:
• Medical and Dental bills
• Housing
• Auto Maintenance for a safe commute to treatment
• Unforeseen expenses once treatment begins
His Diagnosis was made just before Christmas 2022, so this is still new to him and he is unsure what to expect in the upcoming months. This will be a long painful treatment ahead.
All donations are appreciated and are going to a good cause, to give him the best chance at recovery from this horrible disease!
Thank you to all who have taken the time to read Shawn's story and hopefully with the help of others he can beat this!
Best Wishes to all
