Hello :) My name is Shannay. I am a first-year medical student from The Bronx, NY with a heart for healing, service, and faith. Ever since I was a child, I felt called to help others in a way that went deeper than surface-level care. That call eventually led me to pursue medicine, with a dream to serve people who are often overlooked or underserved.

I was blessed to be accepted into medical school, and while the academic journey has stretched me, it’s also confirmed that this is exactly where I’m meant to be. I’ve worked hard, studied long nights, fasted and prayed through exams, and leaned heavily on the Lord.

But now I’m facing an unexpected financial roadblock. Due to delays and complications in my Grad PLUS loan, I’m struggling to secure the funding I need to register and remain enrolled. A church leader encouraged me to create this page, not because I like asking for help, but because sometimes we need help, and God can move through people.

I truly look forward to continuing Term 2 of Medical School beginning August 14th, 2025. I worked so hard to build the momentum I have and I wish to continue without delay.
