Meet Sgt. Pepper—my soulcat, my shadow, my best friend. He came into my life as a 9-month-old rescue, and from the moment we met, we were inseparable. For the first two years, he lived with me, my mom, and my dad, but it became clear that his heart was tied to mine. If I was away too long, he would cry and throw fits, so in 2015, he officially moved in with me. Now, at 12 years old, he shares his home with me, my partner, and his two fur siblings—whom he helped raise—bringing us love and laughter every single day.
Sgt. Pepper had been a healthy boy his whole life until last December when he was diagnosed with diabetes. The news was devastating, but I knew I would do whatever it takes to help him live a happy, healthy life. Instead of insulin, he is being treated with an alternative medicine called Senvelgo. Managing his condition means ongoing vet visits, medication, prescription food, and daily care—all of which add up quickly.
Sgt. Pepper is such a loving boy who adores attention from his humans. The moment you start petting him, he rewards you with endless purrs. He has a special soft spot for kittens, children, and women—he doesn’t hesitate to turn on the charm and start flirting! His sweet and affectionate nature makes him a joy to be around, and he brightens every room he enters.
Sgt. Pepper has been my rock through life’s ups and downs. Now, he needs me more than ever, and I’m reaching out for support. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward his medical care, such as vet visits, diabetic checkups, bloodwork, ensuring he gets the treatment he needs to keep thriving. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser means the world to us.
Thank you for your kindness, your support, and for being part of Sgt. Pepper’s journey.
