My name is Ursula Trovato, i m Swiss living in Spain and I have been supporting several families in Gaza since the beginning of the war.

I have known Reham Zouro, the mother of little Sanad, for almost two years.

We have shared hundreds of messages, photos, and moments together, and I have watched Sanad grow from a tiny newborn into the sweet little boy he is today.

I saw his very first photo when he was only a few weeks old.

I witnessed his first birthday, celebrated with almost nothing but still full of love.

I have seen his smiles, his first little words, and even how he tries to say my name.

This family is very close to my heart.

I cannot watch them face another cold winter in a wet tent without doing something.

This campaign is my way of standing by them and helping give Sanad the warmth and dignity he deserves.

For little Sanad – warmth for the winter, a safe tent, and a life with dignity

Sanad is 2 years and 3 months old.

He was born just one month before the war began – a tiny baby who should have had a peaceful, protected start into life.

For the first months, Sanad lived in a normal home.

He had walls around him, a small bed, and parents who tried everything to give him safety and warmth despite the growing tension around them.

But in February 2024, when Sanad was only five months old, his family lost their home.

It was destroyed, and from one day to the next they lost everything:

• their home

• their belongings

• their clothing

• their sense of stability

Since then, Sanad has been living in a thin temporary tent together with his mother Reham and his father.

A tent that can barely protect them from the weather.

Last week, heavy rain flooded their camp.

Their tent was completely soaked:

– the floor

– the mattress

– the blankets

– Sanad’s clothes

And in the middle of this cold, damp space sleeps a little boy who deserves warmth and safety more than anything in this world.

While other children his age explore parks, play with toys, and sleep in warm beds, Sanad sees:

– destroyed streets instead of playgrounds

– mud and sand instead of clean floors

– cold nights instead of heating

– uncertainty instead of peace

He has almost no toys.

And yet, he still manages to smile – a soft, gentle smile that goes straight to the heart.

I started this campaign because I cannot accept that Sanad faces another winter in these conditions.

With your help, I want him – and his parents, especially his mother Reham, who cares for him every day in the tent – to have:

– a tent that keeps them dry

– warm clothing for Sanad

– a real mattress and blankets

– shoes, a winter jacket, and basic essentials

– and maybe one small toy that brings him a moment of childhood joy
