Keep Safe Shelter Inc. in business

Safe Shelter is a small, rural, private no-kill shelter for dogs and cats that has been running for 20 years now. Most of the animals who come here are ones that other rescues and shelters don't want, because of old age, health or behavior problems. It has always been a "last chance" facility. Recently we experienced not one, but two, very costly veterinary emergencies within 6 months that drained all resources. There are currently 39 cats and 10 dogs at the facility who need food, vaccinations, and regular vet care on a continuing basis. Even with intake closed, we are hard-pressed to meet expenses. There is no paid staff here, and funding comes from private donations and fundraisers. With a little help, Safe Shelter can survive to save and care for more abandoned and helpless pets. Otherwise, its future is uncertain, at best. No donation is too small!
