Hello! My name is Rylee, and I’m currently a student at Wayne State University and i’m majoring in nursing. I’ve worked super hard to get where I am today. I am a first generation college student and I pay for school by myself. Throughout high school, I was apart of the international baccalaureate program, was involved in 4 different clubs and I was the president of one and vice president of another, captained the varsity lacrosse team at my high school, and have worked at Kroger since I was 14. I’ve also spent the past two years coaching an elementary school lacrosse team that I helped start. The summer before going to college I was working two jobs and doing 15 hours work days and it still wasn’t enough. At Wayne State, I’m proud to be a member of Alpha Gamma Delta, where I’ve found an amazing community and sisterhood. Despite my dedication, the financial demands of housing have become overwhelming. I currently work a restaurant job by my school but they don’t have enough hours to schedule me more than one day a week. I still have a balance of around 3500 and I need to get the balance down to 1500 or I can’t register for classes for the winter semester and will be forced to drop out of university. The deadline for this bill is january I’m asking for support to help me continue my education and stay on track towards getting my degree. Any contribution means the world to me, thank you for helping.
