Keep Running for Kathy
Tax deductible
On 4/16/21, the most amazing mom, wife, sister, daughter and friend, Kathy Levesque, passed away from a brain tumor. As many of you know, Kathy was the bravest, most fearless, trusting, welcoming human. She was the consummate listener, encourager, supporter and cheerleader. She inspired everyone around her to push past their limits and try new things beyond their comfort zone. I hear her say “oh you can do it!” often. She continues to inspire me and so many others.
Kathy loved running and training for races. Before she passed, she said she wanted to get back to running when she was feeling better. So a few races were plotted out with hopes to make that a reality. Although Kathy wasn’t able to meet that goal of running again, a group of us want to run those races for her. And we’d love to be able to raise donations for the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance in the process.
The first race we're running is the Hartford Half Marathon Relay on 10/9. We'll be running other races as well and will continue to update this page with pictures.
We're going to keep running for Kathy, even if it's not fast, because if she were here, she'd be running right next to us saying "keep going! you can do it! what's the big deal, it's only a little bit longer!"
