Help Us Keep the Heart of Ross Tennis Centre Beating
This late spring/early summer 2026, a dedicated team from our community including myself is taking on a massive physical and logistical challenge: the legendary National Three Peaks.
In just 24 hours, we will hike the Three Peaks Challenge, conquering Ben Nevis (1,345m), Scafell Pike (978m), and Snowdon (1,085m). This epic feat involves over 23 miles of hiking and a 3,000-metre vertical ascent. This test of stamina and teamwork is being undertaken for one crucial reason: to support the Ross Tennis Centre.
Why This Matters
Ross Tennis Centre is more than just courts; it's a non-profit, volunteer-run hub that provides sport, fitness, and friendship to players of all ages and abilities. The central hut, which houses the kitchen, toilets, and community meeting space, is truly the beating heart of our operation.
Unfortunately, years of patching finally gave way, and the hut’s roof had to be urgently replaced in October 2025. While this critical repair is complete, it was covered using funds originally saved for vital future improvements across the Centre.
Our Goal: Replenish and Rebuild
We are aiming to raise £3,500 to recover these lost funds and get the improvement budget back on track. Every penny will go to Ross Tennis Centre, and you are helping us:
• Rebuild the budget for future facility upgrades.
• Maintain and enhance the current facilities.
• Keep tennis accessible and welcoming for the entire community.
Will You Support Our Climb?
This is our rallying cry to ensure the Centre can continue to serve Ross-on-Wye for years to come.
Help Us Reach the Summit and Our Goal:
• Donate: Every pound fuels our ascent and the Centre’s future.
• Share: Spread the word to fellow tennis lovers!
• Cheer us on: whether in mind, spirit, via social media or even a motivational text at 3am to keep us going!
Support the climb. Secure the Tennis Centre’s future.
