My mother, Roberta came to this country to live the life of freedom in 1999. Shortly after, she gave birth to me, and we have since lived in Florida. She came looking for opportunities to give herself and her children a better life. She did just that. Because of her sacrifice , I was able to receive the best education, healthcare, and a warm, loving home growing up.

I'm here to ask for donations or even a thoughtful prayer if that is all you can offer. On July 27th, 2025, my mom and I went out school shopping. It was a Sunday morning, spent as a family. On her way home to Immokalee, FL, she was stopped by FHP for 'no seatbelt.' She was arrested and booked. Roberta has no legal status in this country. After all these years of hard work and dedication, she still remains undocumented. Due to lack of funds and knowledge, we never got the chance to file properly.
I'm only one person. I can only do so much, but I have a God beside me that won't let me give up. Roberta is a loving grandma, mother, and widow. I ask for you all to please find it in your heart to give me a helping hand in this great moment of need. I'm currently out of work at this moment. I've been going to all interviews presented to me. School started for the kids and I'm struggling. Roberta leaves behind my 5-year-old autistic brother. We told him mommy is sick and we can't see her right now. The questions that run through his little head and the answers I don't have for him.

Roberta has court on September 17,2025. She was given notice that after her court, she will be in transport to an ice detention center . I can only think about the negligence I know she'll be facing once she arrives there. Please help me keep my mom in the US. Once she faces deportation, it'll be much harder to bring her back. The most affordable lawyer we could find is asking for over $10,000. He is willing to help with a down payment and so forth a payment plan will be made. The remainder would be paid $400 monthly. I have bills that keep stacking on me and not enough resources or funds to help me catch up. This is just another obstacle that has landed on my table. I only ask for help because i need it. I realize I cannot do this on my own. I have no idea what awaits me, but in God, I trust, and I thank you all for taking your time to read
