Help Keep Rino and Her Daughter Safe from Harm

Hi, my name is Rino and I am a domestic violence survivor. After enduring years of extreme physical, emotional, and financial abuse at the hands of my ex-husband, I was able to escape with my daughter.

My ex was extremely angry that I was able to leave the situation he trapped me in, believing that he had me under his total control. He slowly alienated me from my family, friends, and support system - a common tactic among perpetrators of domestic abuse, and interfered with my ability to work in order to gain and maintain financial control.

When I listen to voice recordings of our conversations and his verbal and emotional abuse towards me, as well as see pictures and videos of my injuries, it makes no sense that I stayed because of love, but I did. I stayed in my abusive marriage for 5 years until he started his pattern with our child.

When I told him I was leaving, he threatened to make me bankrupt with lawsuits (I have a voice recording of this) and truly, he’s been diligent in keeping his word.

Since I left him, he’s filed numerous frivolous lawsuits perjuring himself from court to court across different jurisdictions. I’m currently on my 6th lawsuit (3 different jurisdictions) fighting for the same thing; the right to raise and love my child.

This year alone, legal fees has been about $50,000 and yet my abuser still files frivolous motions. I am tired of fighting this battle but I know I cannot give up now because it’s not about me but about keeping my child safe.

His lifestyle is completely incompatible with raising a young child on his own as he recently tested positive for substance abuse; however, he is demanding full custody and insists on dragging out the case in court since he is financially comfortable and has an infinite amount of money to spend on attorneys' fees.

Unfortunately, I do not. Attorneys are expensive - especially family law attorneys. I have used up all my money and taken out loans, all in an attempt to keep my daughter safe. Right now, I need your help in this fight against my abuser. If you can find it in your heart to donate any amount of money to this fundraiser, it will go a long way to keep my daughter and I safe.

You may be aware of some cases in the news in which abusive men with financial means have weaponized the legal system and kept children away from their mothers - some mothers passed away without ever seeing their children.
