Keep Rick in the U.S. for His Son
Donation protected
We, as the family, are asking for help on behalf of my younger brother Ricardo Gustavo Guglielmino (Rick). He is the father of an American-born son and a Canadian-born individual, but holds a green card and is a permanent resident of the United States of America. Rick is a proud American at heart and has lived in the United States for over 30 years. ICE is currently detaining Rick at the Stewart Detention Center in Georgia. Unless we act quickly, he will be deported away from his child, his community, and the only home he has ever known as an adult.
What We’re Fighting For
There is still a chance to stop Ricardo’s deportation. Immigration attorneys have told us that we can:
· Petition the court to reopen Ricardo’s criminal case and challenge the conviction that triggered removal proceedings.
· File for cancellation of removal based on the extreme hardship his deportation would cause his U.S. citizen son.
· Request bond and legal relief that could allow him to fight his case outside detention and return to work while proceedings continue.
But we can’t do it without help. The cost of legal defense is staggering—far beyond anything Ricardo or his family can afford.
