On 4th April, we recieved an urgent call that the “dogs” local dog lovers, walkers, the community & ourselves have been trying to help since last year. They were yet again straying on the busy road outside the squalor they lived in. Police attended & due to the squalid conditions were not prepared to leave the dogs there. They liased with the dog warden & it was agreed they could be taken to safety. Panic then set in as we don’t have our own kennel base & it was a race to find trusted EB kennels which thankfully at the last minute pulled through. Renee & Bleu have used up there funds donated for EB so now we are needing your support more than ever. We wouldn’t actively seek out dogs like this to take under our care due to their complex needs & need of rehabilitation, however it was that or they were PTS, it’s that simple. Renee despite how terrified she is never once showed any sign of aggression, just shaking, cowering to the floor & wetting herself. Bleu is a cracking dog and doesn’t appear to have any mental trauma. But until we can find willing, experienced & knowledgeable fosters they are stuck in EB which isn’t ideal but they are safe & having there needs met. But in order for us to keep them safe we need to pay for the kennels. This is £35 a day. In the meantime we are trying desperatly to find fosters or a reputable rescue who has fosters already who has the knowledge to work with them. Currently we are visiting them weekly & they are actually doing really well. Bleu particularly.

Sadly RSPCA failed to rescue & protect these dogs so once again it was left to the public & small rescues like ourselves.
