Help keep Regina and Iris in their home through the holidays.
My name is CJ and I'm raising money for one of my friends, Regina, a now-freelance professional in branding, websites, and social media schemes, who has been struggling to make ends meet. In a very small window of time, Regina has survived events and personal loss that would bend or break the best of us: her mother's passing, the loss of her beloved service dog, a severely life-affecting diagnosis for her surviving companion dog, and the loss of a reliable job. Regina has met every challenge and done her best to keep herself afloat.
Her surviving dog, Iris, is Regina's constant companion. Iris is a Kishu Ken from a litter I had in 2021. Iris is a special dog and brought me significantly closer to Regina. Iris had a difficult start due to poor placental attachment which caused her to be born malnourished. She took a lot of support to grow strong and was a normal puppy from then on out. Her temperament evaluation was sound and I sent her to Regina with the intention to be a prospective service dog like her sire.
Unfortunately, Iris developed severe allergies as she matured that were more than just skin deep and have altered her life, her digestion, and scarred her insides. I have supported Regina and Iris in all the ways I can and continue to do so. She is an expensive dog to care for and maintain, but Regina has never complained and has provided Iris with all the care a special needs dog requires. Iris and Regina are inseparable - in-tune with one another on a level Kishu Ken are renowned for.
In 2025 new clients for Regina's freelance work became hard to come by. Now they have all but dried up, and despite support from our community and her friends, and utilizing credit cards she needs more help to stay in her home through the end of the year. I've established this GoFundMe to continue to help support Iris and Regina in the ways I know how.
Please help us all keep Iris and Regina together and keep her home for the holidays. I have set this GoFundMe to pay Regina's mortgage and the credit cards she uses for Iris's expensive vet care while she has no clients to support her home.
Regina has made it a point to say she would much prefer reliable clients if possible, so if you are interested in her branding, social media, or website services, please investigate her Pet Industry Branding page or her Main website, Systems & Storytelling
