We’re Unable to Operate Due to The COVID-19 Pandemic
As most of you reading this know, due to the COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent lockdown, Redge Salons has been forced to close for an indefinite period of time. These circumstances are out of our control so we’re taking the unusual step of asking the community for help.
What We’ve Been Doing in The Meantime
• Our team is our greatest asset. Many of our stylists have been with us for several years and are not only colleagues but friends. We have worked quickly to assist team members with their applications for state and federal unemployment benefits. 75 Percent of our staff will receive unemployment benefits. We are in regular contact with the remaining team members to assist them with their immediate and ongoing financial needs.
• In addition, we have advised team members on deferring payments with their creditors, educated them on their rights as tenants, and generally helped them manage the challenges ahead of us.
• We’ve also applied for various loans through the recently passed CARES act, including the Paycheck Protection Program and SBA Disaster Loans. As owners/managers, we have taken every step we know of to alleviate the financial stresses on the business at this time.
Why We’re Asking For Your Help
Even if we receive disaster loans, most or all of the funding will need to be paid back with interest. As noted above, we’ve been relentless in our efforts to support our team and to sustain our business with our own two feet—just as we’ve always done—but now we’re asking for your donations, up to $30,000, to keep us in business until we can open again and continue doing what we do best. ✂️
