Ongoing continuous charity for Rahim
Our Rahim has returned to his lord and creator; and alongside us - his family - you strived to keep him alive by visiting him, sending messages of prayers, encouraging words, donating money and sharing. We were overwhelmed and still are, with all your love and support and we are humbly grateful.
As a family we have decided to use the money raised for on going continuous charity for Rahim.
As we have been informed the son of Adam dies, his deeds are cut off: Meaning that you will not receive any more reward for your deeds. Except for three affairs that will benefit you: Ongoing continuous charity: meaning its effect continues after the moment that you gave it, like for example the building of a Masjid for the sake of Allāh (سبحانه و تعالى).
In order to make the most of the money raised, we intend to do this in a very hands on approach. We feel it's important to keep you all in the loop in real time because this will be a huge investment of our time as well as your donations. For this reason we have decided to change the name of the campaign from 'keep Rahim Alive' to 'On going continuous charity for Rahim'.
This is no doubt a great act of worship which our prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم encouraged as with when he said:
(مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا لِلَّهِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِثْلَهُ (مسلم-533
Whomsoever builds a mosque for Allaah, Allaah will build that which is similar for them in Jannah. (Muslim-533)
The prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم also said:
من بنى مسجدا لله كمفحص قطاة أو أصغر بنى الله له بيتا في الجنة (ابن ماجه 738 وصححه الألباني)
Whomsoever builds a mosque that is like (the size of) a pigeon's nest or even smaller than that, Allaah will build a house for them in paradise. (Ibn Majah 738)
Further to the title of the campaign, in the future we intend to start a number of projects in third world countries- to financially facilitate us to do this, we will establish a charity in Rahims name. In the meantime the first project will be to build a Masjid (Mosque) in Bangladesh. We are already in talks with people to get the ball rolling on this, but given the current global crisis we have been temporarily slowed down in our tracks. This will also be accompanied by building water wells in bangladesh in the areas that need it most.
Motivated by our faith in Islam- in the future the aim of our association is to grant relief to people in need around the world. We will focus our efforts on opening schools, building orphanages and delivering essential supplies of food and water to those in poverty. Although we are currently focusing our efforts primarily in Bangladesh, in the future we intend to alleviate human suffering around the world especially in Africa and Asia.
Allaah has given great importance to the welfare of the poor and the orphan and has therefore made it a part of his great religion.
He says, reprimanding those who do not give the importance they deserve:
{كَلَّا ۖ بَل لَّا تُكْرِمُونَ الْيَتِيمَ}
No! But you do not honour the orphan.
{وَلَا تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ}
And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.
(Al-Fajr 17-18)
Once again, many thanks for your support so far, we hope you will continue to support us in our future endeavours.
