My name is Richard. I live on a fixed disability income of $1,356 a month, which covers all of my living expenses. Because funds are incredibly tight, my best friend and companion, Prince, is my absolute world.
While she isn't an officially certified service animal, Prince is my emotional support dog. She helps me navigate the daily challenges of anxiety and PTSD. I would be completely lost without her. I've had the privilege of loving her for nine years, watching her grow from a floppy-eared puppy into the "regal beagle" she is today.
Recently, Prince has faced some tough health hurdles, and the veterinary bills are piling up. During a recent visit for a suspected abscess, the vet discovered an oral tumor that needs to be removed immediately.
The Medical Plan & Breakdown
To give Prince the care she needs, the vet has outlined the following treatment plan (I have her official veterinary records for transparency):
$100 – Tumor removal surgery
$320 – Teeth cleaning, dental extractions, and abscess treatment
$115 – Pre-sedation blood work (strictly required due to her age)
$189 – Biopsy/Pathology lab fees to determine if the tumor is benign or cancerous
Total Remaining Cost Needed: Since the total is $724 and I have already managed to pre-pay $358, I am trying to raise the remaining balance to cover her surgery and testing.
Why Your Help Matters
I have maxed out every resource available to me. It has truly come down to a choice between my own food and medication or Prince's veterinary care. Without hesitation, I will always choose Prince—but I cannot do this alone anymore.
I want to keep Prince happy, healthy, and by my side for a long time to come. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward her surgery and recovery. If you cannot donate, sharing our story with others would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, prayers, and support.
With deep gratitude,
Richard and Prince
