Please help POPROX HAWAII rebuild after a very difficult loss stemming from an April 8th Vandalism & Theft of their Pro Audio Console, multiple RF and IEM Systems.
POPROX HAWAII is a unique band that highlights retro music, particularly the 80s. They come with great energies, sounds, lights, outfits and playlists, that get people grooving to!!
But an unfortunate challenge has stumbled upon them recently. On the evening of Thursday, April 8, John Borja, the owner/lead of Poprox Hawaii found his white 2003 Chevy Tahoe broken into.
Substantial equipment that is used for the group was stolen from the back of John's Tahoe. John has worked hard refining the perfect sound and ljght system for this 80s group, only to find he has to start all over.
The stolen system includes two ATA Rack units, which would've required mass strength to lift and to remove from the vehicle. Pictured is the Honolulu Police Department Report No. 21-149087, as well as photo of all the items that were stolen that evening. The Tahoe was also damaged.
Although the entire system is worth $40K, we hope we hope to raise a portion of the loss especially since insurance will not cover the costs. We're hoping to rebuild the system that has contributed to the group's amazing show.
POPROX HAWAII is scheduled to play at Bayview, Kaneohe every other Thursday and at Hibiscus, Ward monthly on the 2nd Friday. Although they are very slowly rebuilding their show system, they are positive and hopeful that more opportunities may come their way so they may get their equipment up to par.
Mahalo for the al❤ha that you have shown and for expressing your desire to help. POPROX HAWAII is headed in a good direction and has high, positive hopes. A little $omething is better than nothing... We hope you can give what you can so they can get back to rocking it sooner than later.
