Pickled Perfection produces a large variety of spicy pickled products and sells directly to food distributors who supply restaurants, bars, casinos, etc. Additionally we participate in local farmers markets and food events.
When the shut down was imposed we were hit directly with no foreseeable purchase orders and a minimized number of available farmers markets to sell our product. This has caused a 77% drop in revenue in March alone.
In order for us to survive we must continue to pay our operating expenses which still exist when revenue decreases (i.e. commercial production facility, liability insurance, etc.). We have approximately one month of cash reserves for bare minimum expenses and when the crisis is over, we will have no funds left to produce new purchase orders.
We are a small business that has been operating for 11 years and, like the rest of the food industry, have found ourselves in this bleak situation. Support from this Go Fund Me effort will not only help our business but also extend to the growers we purchase from, the container manufacturers, the farmers market community, and so on.
